System Parameters of the Transiting Extrasolar Planet HD 209458b

At long last, here is the system parameters paper, in gzipped PostScript format:
System Parameters of the Transiting Extrasolar Planet HD 209458b
This paper has been submitted to ApJ and is currently undergoing refereeing.
If you would like to have the file in another format (e.g. .pdf), please just ask: send e-mail to wfw@sciences.sdsu.edu or robw@astro.as.utexas.edu.

Exoplanet Poster Papers for the 2005 Winter AAS Meeting

"Using the Rossiter Effect to Confirm Terrestrial Extrasolar Planets"
Here is the poster paper as a full-size .pdf file: wfw-AAS_poster.pdf
This poster shows how the Rossiter effect, a radial velocity distortion through transit, is large enough to be detected even for Earth-analog planets.

"System Parameters of the Transiting Extrasolar Planet TrES-1"
TrES1_AAS_poster.pdf
This was a graduate student class project for the Astronomical Techniques course at SDSU. The students did a super job on their very first poster paper: data reduction, analysis, making figures, writing up the results, and putting together the poster.

You'll need a high-resolution printer and good eyes to read these letter-size versions. But you should be able to view these file at full resolution in ghostview: just magnify. Also, turn off anti-aliasing to improve the text appearance (this option should be under gv's "state" icon).
