Membership contributions to the MLOA are tax deductible.  The MLOA operates under the auspices of The Campanile Foundation, the central developmental office of San Diego State University (SDSU), and is a qualified 501c3 Tax-Exempt organization.

In appreciation of your financial support, your annual membership will include the following benefits:

• Complementary subscription to the MLOA Newsletter, which highlights the research activities of the Observatory, teaching programs of the SDSU Astronomy Department, and announcements of special programs for MLOA members.
• Invitation to the annual John D. Schopp Lecture on the SDSU campus delivered by a distinguished guest speaker.
• Invitation to the Annual Summer Meeting and Picnic at the Observatory, insider's tour of the Observatory, and special telescopic viewing sessions.
• Volunteer opportunities at the Observatory.
• E-mail alerts to special functions on-campus or at the Observatory.

There are several levels of giving opportunities:

*Benefactors will be invited to accompany an SDSU Astronomer during a night of scientific observations at the Observatory, and also be invited as a guest to the Annual College of Sciences Benefactor's Dinner in special recognition.
