The Clifford Smith 24-inch Telescope Building

The 24-inch telescope contained in this building is the one most used by graduate student researchers at San Diego State. This facility commands a fine view from the ridge of the mountain. The building has two levels that include an instrument room, and the telesope and control console. The telescope is named for Dr Clifford E Smith, under whose leadership the Department of Astronomy at SDSU was founded.
