Project ASTRO San Diego 2011-2012 School Year

Workshop information:

The next training workshop for 2011-12 will take place on Saturday October 1, 9:30AM-4PM, at the Reuben H. Fleet Science Center. Invitees will receive more information the week before the workshop. This workshop will be in collaboration with the San Diego Space Society and is funded by a NASA Summer of Innovation Grant.

For Educators:

  • The Astronomical Society of the Pacific now offers the Project ASTRO activity guide in Spanish for bilingual education, or for schools in Tijuana - contact us for more information.

  • For our 2002-2010 astronomers: Your volunteer work has made Project ASTRO San Diego's second year a great success. Even if you were unable to make 4 visits to your school this year, we hope you will join us again for 2011-12. Please contact the coordinators, Philip Blanco or Ron Angione, to confirm your continued participation. This coming year will see exciting new developments, such as new activities for the training workshop, and more "classroom hardware" provided to you by the project (i.e. less shopping for you!).
