Continuing south along the road, past the dormitory on your right, you approach the building containing the Clifford Smith Telescope. On your left as you walk up the road, you will see the pump house and a low roof beneath the trees. The roof covers a 30,000 gallon water resevoir, which can be used in fire fighting. A 500-foot deep well supplies water to the observatory.
